Day #81: He’s Coming Back

He’s Coming Back

Every day I’m living in the promises He made
That He would always be with me
And be my source of strength

And every day I’m walking in my covenant with Him
That He would still abide in me
If I abide in Him

But I am really living for that promise to us all
Though he went to his father’s side
He won’t leave us behind

Chorus:
Well don’t you know, He’s coming back
(He’s coming back)
Gonna ride down on a cloud some day
He’s coming back (He’s coming back)
And that trumpet sound gonna lead the way
He’s coming back (He’s coming back)
He’s coming back for me and you

Every day I’m dreaming of the mansion he prepared
He told me there were many rooms
With plenty room to spare

And so I’m really living for that promise to us all
Though he went to his father’s side
He won’t leave us behind

Chorus

Day #74: Love Somebody

Love Somebody

I know I’m not an angel
Can’t work miracles
I’m just a normal person

I asked my Lord Jesus
How can I be more
More like him every day

And He said, love somebody
Friends and strangers all
Need all that you can be
And He said, love, love somebody
The same way you love me

So use the gifts I gave you
You’re my miracle
You’re more than a conqueror

So tell my story, everywhere
And feed the hungry people
And follow where I lead you

And I say, love somebody
Friends and strangers all
Need all that you can be
And I say, love, love somebody
The same way you love me

Day #67: He Said I Am

He Said I Am

Who is this man who comes from Galilee
Who is this man who I saw calm the sea
Is this my Jesus, my Savior, my Friend

Who is this man who works his Father’s will
Who is this man who tells the wind “be still”
Is this my Jesus, my Savior, my Friend

And He said, “I am the resurrection and the life
I am the good shepherd, too
I am the light of the world
And I will abide in you”

Who is this man who died in Calvary
And saved a lowly sinner like me
Is this my Jesus, my Savior, my Friend

Who is this man who rose again that day
Who is this man who showed me the right way
Is this my Jesus, my Savior, my Friend

And He said,
“I am the resurrection and the life (Is this my Jesus)
I am the good shepherd, too (Is this my Savior)
I am the light of the world (Is this my friend)
And I will abide in you”

Day #60: He is Risen

He is Risen

On the first day of the week
Mary cried outside the tomb
The Savior she had come to seek
Was nowhere in that silent room

The angels sat where He once lay
At the head and at the feet
On this new triumphant day
They asked her, “why do you weep?”

For He is risen, he is risen
He is risen, he is risen
The scriptures are fulfilled
And His love for you revealed
He is risen
He is risen today

Mary thought her Savior gone
Taken from her by the world
He had rolled away the stone
And stood behind her at his word

For He is risen, he is risen
He is risen, he is risen
The scriptures are fulfilled
And His love for you revealed
He is risen
He is risen today

Day #53: Into Jerusalem

Into Jerusalem

Tell me, Saviour, can you see
All the palm fronds laid for thee
All the people on either side of you?

And though they’ll turn on you tonight
Side with Pilate for the fight
I will walk with you, Saviour
When you go

Singing “Hosanna,”
Into Jerusalem
I will go
Singing “Hosanna,”
Into Jerusalem with you

You knew what you were going to
The cross, then three days in the tomb
All to save the souls of ungrateful men

That’s the triumph over sin
You were born and raised to win
I will walk with you, Saviour,
When you go

Singing “Hosanna,”
Into Jerusalem
I will go
Singing “Hosanna,”
Into Jerusalem with you

Day #46: Shine on Me

Shine On Me

Things get so dark sometimes
Can’t tell the day from the night
Seems like all the good times
Are hiding from my sight

But Lord I know you’re with me
Walking along with me
Bearing a light that makes
Darkness and evil flee

Chorus:
Lord won’t you shine on, shine on me
Your grace and mercy
And love have set me free
So shine, shine, shine, shine on me
Let your blessings rain down
And let your love shine on me

Things get so dark sometimes
The Enemy blocks the way
But I’ve got a Lord who lifts me
Out of night into the day

Chorus

Day #39: Just Like Jesus

Just Like Jesus

I don’t remember where or when
The Gospel took a-hold of me
All I know is, way back then
I was blind, and now I see

That I want to be Just like Jesus
Just like Jesus
And I want to be just like Jesus
Just like Jesus

I read the Bible every day
‘Cause I need to know what to do
Well, He said “Love your fellow man
And abide in me, and me in you”

And I want to be Just like Jesus
Just like Jesus
And I want to be just like Jesus
Just like Jesus

Well, I can’t heal the sick or lame
Or walk on water, or calm the seas
But I can love like He loves me
And I forgive my enemies

‘Cause I want to be Just like Jesus
Just like Jesus
And I want to be just like Jesus
Just like Jesus

Just like Jesus (Sing with me now)
Just like Jesus (I hear you now)
Just like Jesus (Come on and be)
Just like Jesus (We’re gonna be)

Day #32: Down to the River

Down to the River

“I will take you down to the river.
And I will take you down to the river,
So put your hand in mine
And put your trust in me
And put your hand in mine”
Said my Lord to me,
And “Hallelujah” I said

“I will lift you up from the trenches,
And I will lift you up from the trenches,
So put your hand in mine
And put your trust in me
And put your hand in mine”
Said my Lord to me,
And “Hallelujah” I said

“I will lead you out from the valley.
And I will lead you out from the valley,
So put your hand in mine
And put your trust in me
And put your hand in mine”
Said my Lord to me,
And “Hallelujah” I said

“I will make you a key to the kingdom.
And I will make you a key to the kingdom,
So put your hand in mine
And put your trust in me
And put your hand in mine”
Said my Lord to me,
And “Hallelujah” I said
And “Hallelujah” I said
And “Hallelujah” I said

Day #25: Let Me Tell You About Jesus

Let Me Tell You About Jesus

I asked the preacher-man, I said,
I have read the gospel
Of how Jesus died, but
How can that be good news?

He said, that blood shed has
Washed away your sins and
Made you white as snow, now
That’s what I call good news!

Chorus:
Let me tell you about Jesus
The best friend I ever knew
Let me tell you about Jesus
The one who died for me and you

He died and rose the third day
Spread the Holy Ghost and
Went to Heaven to the
Right hand of the Father

He said, I go to make a
Place for you in his house
There are many rooms
If it weren’t true, I’d tell you.

Chorus

Coda
The One who died for me and you
The One who died for me and you

Day #18: The Glory Hallelujah Song

The Glory Hallelujah Song

I saw Jesus down by the shoreline
That’s my Lord, my friend
He said, “servants, drop your nets,
Now you’ll fish for men.”

Chorus:
And I said, “Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!
And I will build my church here, stone by stone,”
And I said, “Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!
And I will lead my flock here, one by one,”
And I said, “Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!”

I saw Jesus up on the mountain
With Moses and Elijah
God said, “This is my beloved,
Hear him, lift him higher!”

[Chorus]

I saw Jesus rise to heaven
On a cloud to glory.
He said, “I’m with you forever,
Go and tell my story.”

[Chorus]

And I said, “Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!
And I will sing your praises day by day!”
And I said, “Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!
And I will strive to make your way my way.”
And I said, “Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!”
