Day #11: I’ve Come Too Far

I’ve Come Too Far
(To Turn Back Now)

“What would Jesus do?” They say
That’s how we should live
And I have walked that way
But it’s not so easy to do

Well that old Devil-Man, he say
“Come back and walk with me
The way you used to do
And I’ll make it easy for you”

But I say I’ve come too far
Since I’ve been saved
And I’ve come too far
To turn back now,
I say I’ve come too far
Since He turned me around
And I’ve come too far
To turn back now

Well, Jesus took my hand, He said,
“Here’s My love for you
And here’s My life for you
And all I ask is ‘follow me'”

And that old Devil-Man, he said
“Here’s the treasures of the world
And Here’s the pleasures of the flesh
And all I’m asking is your soul”

But I say I’ve come too far
Since I’ve been saved
And I’ve come too far
To turn back now,
I say I’ve come too far
Since He turned me around
And I’ve come too far
To turn back now

Well, Jesus took my hand, He said,
“I will abide in you
If you will abide in me
And that’s how vineyards bear their fruit.”

And that old Devil-Man, he said
“I will be back someday,
But right now, He’s too strong
And there’s no room for me in you.”

‘Cause I say I’ve come too far
Since I’ve been saved
And I’ve come too far
To turn back now,
I say I’ve come too far
Since He turned me around
And I’ve come too far
To turn back now
